Eureka Steam Mop Questions and Answers
Eureka Steam Mop Questions and Answers
Q: Should cleaner be added to the water in the Steamer-Is it o.k. to add cleaner to the water?
A: You do not need to add anything to the water. The Enviro Steam Mop doesn’t require any extra chemicals to clean. The water is heated at a very high heat and then sprayed through jets which creates the ability to sanitize and kill germs without the use of any chemicals. Just like you wouldn’t put cleaners/starch in a steam iron, putting chemicals in the steam mop is not suggested as it could clog the jets or leave build-up. You can of course pre-treat a spot on the floor before steaming, but you will find that it really isn’t needed. If you have a particularly sticky or dirty area, just let the mop stay in the area for a few extra seconds to loosen the grime.
Q: How hot does the water/steam get?
A: The water in the Eureka Steam Mop heats somewhere between 212 and 220 degrees which is one of the highest on the market.
Q: Is the steamer loud?
A: The Eureka Steam Mop is quiet. It does not have a motor, so is all you hear (or really just see ) is steam as you move the Envirosteamer across your floor.
Q: Are the cleaning pads washable?
A: Yes, but it is best to wash on low heat and air dry so they do not shrink.
Q: Does the Eureka Steam mop come with mop pads?
A: Yes, it comes with 2. They are very durable and should last a long time
Q: Do you need to pump or hold a trigger on the EnviroSteamer to make it work?
A: No, once the Eureka pre-heats, just glide it over the floor and let the steam do the work.
